Welsh celebrities Katherine Jenkins and Joanna Page might be getting all the media attention as new mums, but you can still give your own mum the superstar treatment by taking her along to St Fagans National History Museum for a special Mother’s Day lunch.
Wales’s most popular heritage attraction has launched a Mother’s Day Lunch menu with a decidedly Welsh theme – in keeping with the fact that the open air museum serves up fascinating insights into Welsh social history.
So, families can treat their mum to classics like cawl and crusty bread, prime Welsh beef and locally caught salmon, cooked by the museum’s expert catering team Elior UK and served in the Castle dining room.
Karen James-Watkins from National Museums Wales said: “St Fagan’s is the perfect place for a relaxed day out with mum on Mother’s Day and the Elior chefs have come up with a menu full of treats to mark the occasion.
“As well as fantastic food, there are of course so many other reasons to visit St Fagan’s. What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day in Wales than to take a bit of a trip down memory lane with your mum to enjoy some real living history?”
The special Mother’s Day menu will be available at St Fagans from 12:00pm until 2:00pm priced £16.50 for two courses and £20 for three. To book your place call: 02920 565157.
