To celebrate the launch of the Get Creative Weekend, April 7-9, Theatr Brycheiniog have teamed up with award winning dance and installation artist Phil Williams for a spectacular interactive project that will transform Pen Y Fan into Wales’s largest living art installation, Friday April 7.
The project will be working with Brecon Beacons National Park, The National Trust, BBC Wales and Arts Council of Wales, with teams of volunteers from local dance groups, cadets, youth theatres and the general public from across the country. Participants will need to be fit and active in order to take part and families are encouraged to participate but all under 18’s will need to be supervised at all times.
Phil Williams, Choreographer, says “I’m excited to create Heart of Wales, bringing the communities of Wales together for a mass participation arts event on the side of Pen Y Fan. Creating a large scale installation of bodies in motion, we will literally be moving the mountain in what promises to be a spectacular event.”
If you’d like to get involved in the Heart of Wales event, volunteer participants will need to be available from 8.00am – 3.00pm on Friday 7th April.
